Tutoring Program

At PIA, it is our goal to make sure your child understands and comprehends his or her homework assignments.  As an organization, we know that it may be difficult for your child to get accustomed to the American culture and it will take time for your child to get adjusted.  We are also aware, because of the cultural adjustment period; your child may need additional help with certain school courses, which is why we have developed a tutoring program.

Many teachers are available for your child’s academic success before or after school.
The students arrive at school early and students are able to schedule appointments with a teacher to receive extra help.  They can also stay after school to speak with a teacher and they would be more than happy to help the students with homework assignments, studying for tests or quizzes or answer any of their questions.

Doing this will help your child get to know his or her teacher on a more personal level and it also shows
that your child is willing to work hard and put extra effort into his or her coursework.

Students also have the option of being tutored on campus.
An adult or student who is attending College or a University will work with your child to help in his or her area of weakness.  You child can be tutored for $16.50 an hour.  Parents are able to monitor their child’s progress by logging in to their child’s account, which will show each grade for each course their child is taking.

Please email Amy Wiler at
amy@piacademy.org if you would like your child to receive additional help or tutoring.
